Power BI Course (Beginner)
The Power BI Training program is designed for aspiring and practicing Data Analysts, Business Analysts, BI Developers, Excel power users, SQL professionals, and analytics graduates looking to build practical business intelligence skills. Participants only need basic computer and spreadsheet knowledge, with no prior programming experience required. A Windows computer with at least 8GB RAM is recommended.
The training provides hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Service, SQL Server, Excel, Power BI Report Server, Report Builder, and Power Apps through a practical lab environment. Assessment includes hands-on exercises and daily interactive activities, followed by a Day 3 capstone project evaluating data modeling, DAX accuracy, and dashboard quality. Participants who complete the three-day training and capstone receive the stratIQ Power BI Developer Certificate of Completion, affiliated with the Centre for Business Analytics (CBA), with the syllabus also aligned with Microsoft’s PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst exam objectives.

Earn your Certification
Participants who complete all three days, including the capstone, receive the stratIQ Power BI Developer Certificate of Completion affiliated with the Centre for Business Analytics (CBA). The syllabus also maps to Microsoft’s PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) exam objectives
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent)

- Power BI Desktop (latest version, free) and Power BI Service (Pro trial provided)
- Microsoft SQL Server / SSMS, provided via a remote lab environment
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or later
- Power BI Report Server & Report Builder, and a Power Apps trial environment (provided via lab VM)
